GCKA operates two separate soccer programs: Recreational and Travel.

Rec-Soccer

Recreational soccer is designed to give every child an opportunity to participate in the game, regardless of ability. It's a great place to start a child that has never played soccer before, for a child who wants to play soccer for the fun of it without the competitive side to it, or for one who wishes to develop their skills before moving onto to a more competitive league.

GCKA rec-soccer holds registration twice a year, typically in January and July. Rec players range in age from 4 to 12 years of age and will play in the U6 through U12 age-group leagues.

Players in grades 7 through 12 will play on teams in the Middle School Soccer Association (MSSA) or High School Soccer Association (HSSA).

Travel Soccer

Travel soccer is a select competitive program. Tryouts are held in May each year. Teams are a 1-year commitment. There is a Fall and a Spring outdoor season, and indoor training in the Winter is required. Each team is scheduled to play a minimum of 8 games per season, with approximately half of those games played at Murfin Fields, and the remainder played at surrounding communities. Depending on the age group, each travel team participates in 2-5 tournaments per year, with the majority of the tournaments located in the Columbus region.
