Payment options is pay in full at time of registration or
2 payment plan- Equal payments -

1st payment due at sign up,

2nd payment due 1 month later.

Ex. If you register your child on Feb. 2, 2024- your initial payment of 1/2amount comes out that day.
On March 2, 2024 the other 1/2 will auto charge to your saved credit card.
You would then be paid in full.

Fees must be paid in full or current on payments before practice begins.
Practices and Games

Practices begin Week of April 15
Games begin Week of TBD
End of season is by the end of June

Season Format:

6u

· Practice once a week on weeknights until games start.

· Once games start, teams will play one game per week and will not practice.

8u

· One practice per week on weeknights.

· Games on Saturdays (some double-headers on Saturdays) and weeknights.

· Weeknight games could be scheduled on any night (M-F) and not just on teams regularly scheduled practice night.

· Rainout makeup games TBD.

10u, 12u, 14u

· Two practices per week on weeknights

· Games on Saturdays, including double-headers. Weeknight games possible.

· Rainout makeup games TBD.

· Playoffs following conclusion of regular season.

 · Price Includes: uniform, games, and trophy.

Uniforms:

Included in fee and given out 1 week before picture.
Please size up to allow for mobility and shrinkage.
Equipment Needed:
 Glove, bat, batting helmet, cleats. Some items are available to share but are in limited supply.

Honoring Requests:

 Balancing talent levels is the primary goal when assembling teams in each division. We do our best to honor practice schedule requests, however, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be honored.  All requests must be noted in the comments section of the online registration. Other requests will be honored at the discretion of the League Chair and/or Commissioner, however we make no guarantee they will be honored.
After Registering:

A coach will contact you with specifics the week before practices begin. Some may call/email later than others, so don't panic. 
Volunteer Coaches:

We are always looking for coaches. If interested email commissioner Morgan Von Lohr at gckasoftballcommissioner@gmail.com

 No experience is needed! Instruction will be provided.
Coach Information:

Mandatory Coach Meeting: TBD.

Meetings held at GCKA Office (at Murfin Fields).
Sponsorship Opportunities:

· Requested sponsorship of $250/team or $200/team if sponsoring multiple teams.

· Sponsored teams will have single color (white/black) logo of business sponsoring on team uniforms.

· Sponsorship money goes towards uniforms, umpires, field maintenance, and equipment.

· Sponsorship money is vital to keeping cost of league fees down for parents and purchasing necessary equipment for kids to build fundamentals of softball, have fun, and be safe doing so.

· GCKA is a non-profit organization.

· Sponsor checks can be made out to “GCKA” with “softball sponsor” in the memo line and can be dropped off at the GCKA office at Murfin Fields during office hours, left in the black lock box near the door, or picked up by a softball commissioner upon request.
